Before we carry out any SEO on your website we make sure we perform keyword research so we can make sure we are working on the correct keywords that have both traffic search volume but are also achievable to rank for. For example if you want to appear on Googles first page for the term “loan quotes” or “life insurance” then you will need a budget of hundreds per week. Leading companies have departments dedicated to ranking for these highly competitive terms such is the traffic volume of thousands per day. So we need to agree on what keywords you want to rank for. Also be aware of any company guaranteeing you top rankings as no company can do that, unless they go after 3 or 4 worded phrases which have no search traffic, these are called longtail keywords and whilst they do work for some they could mean yes you rank well in Google but nobody types in the phrase so it’s pointless ranking high for it.
