Welcome to SBS Reviews – the new weekly series where we highlight the products and services of fellow winners of the Theo Paphitis SBS Awards.
This week it’s the turn of Beeutiful – an ethical skincare brand with products made from the wax of their own bees.
About SBS
SBS is a competition that Dragon’s Den legend Theo Paphitis hosts every Sunday where business owners have to Tweet him their sales pitch in just one tweet. Beeutiful was selected by Theo in June 2017 and is a very active member of the SBS family!
About the company
Beeutiful produces 100% natural skin products from the produce of their bee hives in Hampshire. If it’s not safe to eat then it doesn’t go in their products. Whatsmore, they only harvest that from the bees that does not harm them.
Website / Ordering process
As a web agency, of course we have to start the review on the website and this will by far be the most critical part of the review as it’s another one of those nasty Wix DIY jobs – Boo! Such a shame really as the products look amazing. The site isn’t mobile friendly and has some display issues on desktop too.
Unboxing
Carly sent me a tin of their new Beeutify Man facial balm, probably something I need as I do suffer from dry skin. Other products in their range include lip balm, body butter and tattoo cream. All of their products are packaged in recyclable materials, this one, with glass and aluminium.
Product
The products are super ethical and that’s an instant win with me. The lovely handwritten note in with the parcel tells me to use a tiny amount as a little goes a long way. I decided to film this video over a couple of days so that I could give proper feedback and I’m pleased to say that it really does make your skin feel soft. Having no water content, I can see how it will last longer than cream moisterisers too. It smells great – Emma definitely noticed, so it’s a thumbs up from me.
