SBS Reviews: Mallow Groove
Welcome to SBS Reviews – the new weekly series where we highlight the products and services of fellow winners of the Theo Paphitis SBS Awards.
This week it’s the turn of Mallow Groove and their luxury marshmallows.
SBS is a competition that Dragon’s Den legend Theo Paphitis hosts every Sunday where business owners have to Tweet him their sales pitch in just one tweet. Mallow Groove was selected by Theo earlier this year and has quickly become an active member of the SBS family!
About Mallow Groove
Rachel Norris founded Mallow Groove on her 40th Birthday back in 2016 as a challenge to herself. She’d been making Marshmallows for friends and everyone kept telling her that she should turn it into a business. Well I’m glad she did because these look awesome!
Website / Ordering process
As a web agency, of course we have to start the review on the website and this will by far be the most critical part of the review as it’s one of those nasty Wix DIY jobs – Boo! I jest – I mean the products look amazing and that saves the site, but imagine how good they’d look on a better site.
Wix isn’t what you think of when you need an ecommerce site but it is still functional. I did have some issues ordering on a mobile but got around it by adding an item I didn’t want to the cart and then removing it again. They get bonus points for having live chat though 😊
The mallows arrived very well packaged in a bag, then box, then individual bags. I treated us to two flavours – Chocolate Orange and Salted Caramel, but Mallow Groove have plenty of great flavours to choose from.
The products look awesome! Lovingly handmade and it shows. My terrible photography will never do these justice. The Product is 10/10 – they taste amazing! Beautifully handmade and a real treat. Salted Caramel is my favourite, Chocolate Orange is Emma’s. We can just about convince ourselves to share them with the kids…
