"My name is Mia, and I am the founder of Miss E Early Years. My creative journey began with studies in Graphic Design and Fashion at A Level. After leaving college, I found myself uncertain about my career path. This changed when I started volunteering at a local primary school, which led to a position as a Teaching Assistant. It was in this role that I discovered my passion for teaching.
As I worked alongside students, I pursued my degree in education, culminating in an incredible experience of leading my own Year Two class during my teacher training year. In 2021, I was presented with an opportunity by my Head Teacher to transition into Early Years. Initially, I was apprehensive, having always worked in Key Stage 1. However, this decision turned out to be the best one I ever made!
Working in Early Years ignited a passion within me that I never knew existed. It has allowed me to harness my creativity to design engaging and interactive activities that facilitate learning for my little ones. In 2022, I transitioned to another school within my Trust, where I launched my ‘Miss E Early Years’ Instagram account. Inspired by the vibrant Early Years community I followed on social media, I wanted to share my ideas and experiences. To my surprise, my account flourished beyond my expectations!"
