So you've been working on your business for a while now, maybe 1-2 years but it starts to seem repetitive and dull. Then this Valentine's Day it's time to rekindle your love for your business and push it where it's never gone before.
When you first create a business there is always a reason and an overarching vision but sometimes we can lose sight of why we started. When you notice that your passion for your business has become lax or distant then you should take some time to remind yourself of what your vision is and the many little steps that will lead you to your goal. Sometimes when we lose sight of the end goal we have to look for the first step to take and that can lead the way.
Lots of times - especially in business - it can sometimes be overwhelming when you know the vast majority of everything you need to do from, selling services or products, marketing, site maintenance, and keeping the business afloat, it can get quite overwhelming at times. This is why we recommend that you celebrate the small wins even if it's just making a single sale, or completing that task you said you'd complete. The more small wins you celebrate the more likely you are to avoid burnout and keep that passion alive.
In the modern world, we often hear that motivation or inspiration is only temporary and shouldn't be relied on often, but it can actually be that short kick that we need to get our brains working and get the job done. Whether the motivation gives you the boost you need to complete that task or if it gives you that realisation that you can create a plan to help organise your days. Once you have a short boost of inspiration you may find that after completing the task you will still have motivation because motivation is the product of progress, not the other way around.
Another way that you can rekindle your love for your business is by delegating tasks and collaborating with employees. Delegating the tasks that you don't like and can't do to the best of your ability is a great opportunity for increasing your passion as not only have you delegated a task that you don't like but you have also given yourself more time to focus on something that you do enjoy or something more important that requires your attention.
Sometimes our brains generally just need a break, we are living organisms, not robots. When you find your motivation, passion, love, or focus slipping, take a break. Stop your timer, take your empty cups away, refill your water bottle, make a beverage, and take a moment to readjust your tasks. Think about what should I be focusing on now, and what would give me the most benefit right now.
So, we hope this blog has helped you reset and remind yourself of why you started this journey in the first place. Remember to take breaks when needed, and remind yourself of why you are going on this journey. Stay Super, Stay Tuned, and we'll see you next time!
