A truly unique design concept! Anubis was designed specifically to get around the UK Antweight 3-Inch cube rule. It expands out from it’s pyramid form to form what we believe is the biggest full body spinner in the class. We’re on version 3 of the robot with no real event success, but version 4 has the issues ironed out.
Version 1: Jan 2018
A great prototype. It worked well but couldn’t self-right and tended to take off on impact.
Version 2: March 2018
Big improvements shifting the weight to the outside. Self-righting fixed. Overweight and slightly too big for the cube.
Version 3: October 2018 – January 2019
Issues resolved and several wins. Unfortunately long duration spins generate enough heat by friction to soften the abs ring that it spins on enough that it becomes unbalanced. This is going to be replaced with an aluminium ring on V4.
